'Sound of the Suburb' release the new video for their single '70s Girl'
SOUND OF THE SUBURB is a high-energy band based in Hampstead Garden Suburb (“The Suburb”).
The members of the band are all rock veterans, including bassist Steve Phillips, lead guitarist Chris Berlingieri, and drummer Mike Solomon. Lead vocalist is Rafael Landicho and Martin Ross handles rhythm guitar and backing vocals.
Initially the band were known for playing cover songs from the likes of The Beatles, Van Morrison and Muse to name a few. But after starting to write their own material in 2008, they have now released their debut album made up of ten original tracks from the band.
Lead guitarist, Chris said “when we did gigs at pubs we always put a few of our original tracks in the set and they went over well… before we knew it we had enough for an album”.
The band formed in late 2005 and since then have gone on to play at numerous venues in their local area including the East Finchley festival three years running.
The first single taken from the album is called “70s girl”.
“The album’s ten tracks honour the very music that inspired them, melding pop, rock, rockabilly and folk sensibilities…”
