Quiet as a Mouse, new single, 'Home Is The Hardest Place To Find'.
Quiet as a Mouse are an Edinburgh four piece alternative indie band; Alex Moran (Vocals/Guitar), Steve Allen (Guitar), Kevin Turner (Bass) and Graham Longbottom (Drums). ‘Home Is The Hardest Place To Find’ is their debut single release and is a strong rhythmic driven wonder of melodic indie bliss.
The band’s credible live reputation has quickly grown in the past year supporting Palma Violets (Rough Trade Records), The Crookes, Hey Sholay & Dingus Khan (Fierce Panda Records) as well as their first batch of London shows being at Birthdays, Bull & Gate & Buffalo Bar. These outstanding performances have earned them “Gig of the Day” from Ruth Kilpatrick at Amazing Radio along with fellow Scotsman Jim Gellaty’s airplay support of the band.
“Home Is The Hardest Place To Find” video shows various homes filmed at thirty locations on the outskirts of Edinburgh. These homes range from grand stately homes, bus stops, derelict buildings, factories and barns, with the band performing outside them on their stomping ground. The motion of the videos ever-changing landscape compliments the song perfectly as you are taken on a four-minute journey of trying to locate “home”.
Quiet as a Mouse should be both seen and heard ...very very loudly .........“
Inspired in part by the shimmer of Teenage Fanclub and the heaviness of Nirvana. This blend seems to have won them a few admirers, mohawk-haired Scottish music impresario Jim Gellatly among them."
