In Mexico, Day of the Dead is a time where families gather to remember the lives of their ancestors as it is believed that the souls of the dead come back to visit their loved ones on these days. It is a colourful celebration of life; festive, rather than sombre as death isn't seen as the end of one's life, but as a natural part of the life cycle.
