Would you mind introducing us to your band members?
Abi Parker - Vocals/Backing Vocals
Stephen C Wilson - Bass/Guitars/Drums/Programming/Keyboards
Andy Cross - Drums/Pecussion

How long has the current band line up been together?
Since 2009

How did you come up with the band name?
It’s a name I had in the back of my mind for a long time, but it was more a result of a stream of consciousness reaction than an orchestrated develepment.

How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t yet heard you?
We consider ourselves to be a combination of Mod, Psychedelic and Goth styles, creating a melodic but unusual song and music sound with routes in all those genres

What music did you listen to while growing up?
Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd, a lot of 1960’s psychedelia including much that is very obscure such as July, The Aerovons, Tomorrow, The Aquarian Age, Mark Wirtz, Kalaidoscope and Bill Fay, The Beatles, PJ Harvey, Adam Ant, Nico, Jennifer Gentle, Madness, The Pretty Things, The Beta Band, Love and Arthur Lee, Vashti Bunyan, Bjork, Kula Shaker, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Kinks, The Who, The Beach Boys, The Damned, The Bangles, Kate Bush, The Cure, Jack Bruce, Simon and Garfunkel….actually, far too many to mention really.

Which artist or track inspired you to want to make music yourself?
When was the ‘I want to do that!’ moment?
Syd Barrett and The Beatles

What was the last music you put on your ipod or mp3 player?
Abi - Black Sabbath’s first album and Buffy Sainte-Marie ‘Running For The Drum’
Steve - Julian Cope ‘Fried’ and Karen Elson ‘The Ghost Who Walks’

What have you been up to recently?
Promoting the album and planning for live performances

What can your fans look forward to in the next 12 months?
More music, live performances

Do you have a favourite piece of musical kit that you couldn’t live without?
Zoom FX pedal

Do you try to capture your ‘live’ sound on recordings or do you think that the ‘live’ sound and recorded sound should be different experiences for your fans?
We tend to record our songs prior to performing them live so it is more the other way around.

How much involvement do you have with the arranging and production of the songs when recording?
Steve does all the arranging, and the production is pretty much a joint effort but with Steve and Abi having clear ideas as to how thing should sound overall.

Do you find the process of recording enjoyable and does it get easier the more you do?
The recording process can be extremely rewarding and good fun, but it doesn’t necessarily get easier as each new song offers up new challenges.

Do you have any new recordings planned?
We are hoping to record some new material later in 2011, possibly in Romania, an opportunity that has come about through some friends from a fantastic Romanian band called Utopia Café. In fact one of the members of Utopia Café has been doing the artwork and design for our album sleeve and posters.

Who are your favourite songwriters?
Syd Barrett, Lennon & McCartney, Kate Bush, PJ Harvey, Ray Davies.

Who are the main songwriters for the band?
Stephen C Wilson
Abi Parker

Do you have a set routine when writing and recording or does it depend on each track and the inspiration?
It varies.

Do you have a method for writing songs?
Again this varies from song to song, and even within songs

Do you find song writing easy or difficult?
Again, it varies
